Scope and field of application
This device is used to supply power to computer-based interlocking systems, including MPC-EL, MPC-EL-20, MPC-EL with relay interface, RPC-EL hybrid interlocking system and headway control systems based on hardware and software of the MPC-EL system. It may also be used to supply power to other computer-based, electronic and relay equipment of signalling systems.

It may also be used to supply power to other computer-based, electronic and relay equipment of signalling systems.
Main features
- connection of at least three external three phase power sources (2 feeders and a redundant standalone power plant);
- automatically switching from one external power source to another whenever the power disappears or no longer meets the voltage requirements;
- galvanic isolation of signalling equipment loads from external power supply devices;
- guaranteed load power supply;
- continuity of power supply loads connected to the UPS for a specified duration of time from batteries, when switching to a different external power supply or when disconnecting them;
- automatic and manual switching of power supply devices for computer-based interlocking and signalling system equipment, bypassing UPS during maintenance;
- power supply for CIS and signalling system equipment, power supply to CPU, OK, TO, KSPK cabinets, LCSS, relay racks with the voltage of 24 V, (coded) track circuits, route indicators, off-tower circuits and other signalling system equipment loads;
- indication and transmission of status information to CIS and TDMS;
- built-in diagnostics subsystem that controls device operation, and indicates, displays and records the status of UEP-U-M devices and their elements, this information may then be forwarded to CIS and TDMS.
