The installation works for railway signaling systems have been finalized at the Sablino-Tosno HSR test facility

ELTEZA JSC (a subsidiary of Russian Railways, also part of the GC NPS) has supplied a wide range of innovative wayside equipment installed on ballastless track structures, as well as computer-based equipment housed in transportable modules of its own manufacture.

Two 118-meter 1/25 grade turnouts have been installed at the test site. Each of them is operated by eight PV‑EL point machines equipped with external locking linkages. Together, they form a comprehensive system of switching, locking, and monitoring devices for the 1/25 high-speed rail (HSR) turnout.

The unique hardware‑software complex integrated into the computer‑based interlocking system is responsible for switch point control. It also provides real‑time diagnostics and monitoring of the equipment performance.

This innovative equipment from ELTEZA JSC, specifically designed for the HSR (High-Speed Rail) project, ensures smooth and synchronized switch operation. The design of the turnout and the equipment allows trains to travel at speeds of up to 400 km/h on the main track and up to 120 km/h on the turnout track. Both modes of operation will be tested at the Sablino–Tosno proving ground, for which a dedicated turnout track on a ballast base has been constructed.

The section is also equipped with light signals, track boxes, newly developed impedance bonds and electrical connectors, as well as other equipment designed and manufactured by ELTEZA JSC. In full compliance with the work schedule, the company completed the entire scope of installation works required to commence testing.

The Sablino–Tosno test site will become a key platform for verifying new engineering solutions before their implementation on the first Moscow–Saint Petersburg high‑speed rail line. The facility will host comprehensive load testing of ballastless track structures, as well as new turnouts, rail fastenings, and digital train control systems under the weight of “Sapsan” trains.
The length of the test section is over one kilometer. GC NPS companies have prepared a reinforced subgrade and concrete foundations at the site, and have installed 207 NGP 4.0 rail slabs along with 56 turnout slabs.
