The MPС‑EL‑20 computer-based interlocking was implemented on the Oktyabrskaya Railway for the first time
The MPC-EL-20 computer-based interlocking system has been installed at Obukhovo station in Saint Petersburg.
At Obukhovo station, 33 switch points and 53 LED light‑optical signals have been integrated into the MPС‑EL‑20 system. The implementation of the MPC-EL-20 will automate train traffic management to increase railway safety. Reliable power supply for the equipment is ensured by a unified power supply system with uninterruptible power supply devices (UEP‑U‑M). Rolling stock monitoring is performed using audio-frequency track circuits based on digital track circuit monitoring module (CM-KRTS-AR) equipment.
The MPC‑EL‑20 system enables maximum automation of the transportation process management, ensures the required throughput capacity of railway lines and reduces operating costs. This is a new generation of interlocking systems, incorporating more than two thousand technical solutions. The system was designed by ELTEZA JSC in collaboration with other companies within the GC NPS.
The MPC-EL-20 computer-based interlocking system is built on the secure Platform 2.0, developed by GC NPS companies to automate any industrial sector. It is the first digital solution of its kind to be produced entirely using domestic components and software. It complies with the fourth (highest) level of industrial safety, ensuring near-zero failure probability.
