Russian infrastructure solutions for Mongolia
Alexey Soshnikov, Deputy General Director for Marketing and Sales at ELTEZA JSC (a subsidiary of Russian Railways, also part of the GC NPS), as part of the GC NPS delegation, held talks with the Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, Borkhuu Delgersaikhan in Ulaanbaatar.
The meeting addressed the development of Mongolia’s transport infrastructure and Russian‑Mongolian relations in the field of railway transport. Alexey Soshnikov presented ELTEZA’s modern high‑tech solutions. During the negotiations, the parties outlined the next steps for implementing joint initiatives.
Between 2015 and 2019 JSC ELTEZA together with other companies of the GC NPS carried out the modernization of the Khoit–Dzamyn–Uud section of the Trans‑Mongolian Railway with a total length of 1,111 km. The line was equipped with a Radio-based Traffic Control system, which increased its throughput capacity by 30%.
