Scope and field of application
The device fully complies with the technical requirements of TU 3185-014-01124328-95. It provides the means to mechanically freeze the rolling stock on station tracks (apart from running lines) of various yards in temperate climates (U) with location category 1 according to GOST 15150-69.
The brake stop is designed as two articulated shoes that are rigidly fastened to pads that are in turn bolted to rail webs. The brake stop also includes a lever mechanism that allows to switch the UTS-380 shoes into vertical or horizontal positions.
The brake stop frame is attached to running rail webs and heels. An SP-type electric switch machine and a crank rocker mechanism are mounted onto the frame, with short and long articulated point-operating cranks attached to them. The electric switch machine does not come standard and may be supplied following a separate order.
